Dear Friends and Partners,
At APROQUEN we are grateful for your extraordinary efforts to help the children of Nicaragua during the current difficult times that continue to have a significant impact on our ability to provide essential treatment services. While we’ve had to reduce our services to life-threatning cases in 2018 due to the current civil and political unrest in Nicaragua, we are confident that we will be able to resume all our services when the situation improves and provide our full range of services to children suffering from burns as well as cleft lip and palate.
In spite of these challenges as we reflect on 2017, we are excited to share with you the attached "2017 Impact Report."
YOUR continued support enabled us to provide 11,766 outpatient visits, 1,041 surgeries, 22,734 rehabilitation sessions, conduct 13 burn prevention workshops for children, teachers, and community leaders and host 6 medical missions with leading US teams in 2017.
We thank you for transforming the lives of children in Nicaragua.
